Pterygium Surgery
Pterygium surgery is the removal of an inflammatory conjunctival tissue that invades part of the cornea and requires surgery to avoid compromising vision and the aesthetic appearance of the cornea. It is combined with a conjunctiva graft that is attached with sutures to prevent pterygium reproduction and achieve an aesthetic result.
This procedure does not affect visual acuity, but it causes the patient to be incapacitated for a week.
