Ophthalmology Ambulatory Surgery
Outpatient ophthalmic surgeries are procedures that don't require the patient to go through a pre- and postoperative period. This occurs in cases where the procedure to be performed has a very low level of risk, like with cataracts, glaucoma, lacrimal obstructions, strabismus, among others. Usually, patients are discharged shortly after the procedure if they are not experiencing any complications.
