Intracorneal Ring Implant Surgery
In the managing of keratoccus, Incornea has extensive experience in implanting intracorneal rings Intacs or Ferrara type with different arc lengths, thicknesses, and diameters depending on the degree of corneal deformity. With the acquisition of the femtosecond VisuMax laser, we are facilitating the implantation of these rings, achieving the same or better results than with the manual technique. It is important to note that the object of the ring implant is to completely or partially correct corneal deformities in order to improve eyesight quality. Depending on the degree of corneal deformity, one or two rings are placed. It is especially useful moderate, incipient keratoconus and post-LASIK ectasias.
